Officially unveiled on July 8, 2025, North Tonawanda’s new city flag represents both its proud heritage and its bright future. Designed by local native Jeremy Sniatecki, (view his Facebook page HERE), the flag features a rounded oval emblem on a clean background—an homage to traditional maritime flags. Within the design, two iconic city landmarks—the counterweight railroad bridge and the Wurlitzer Building—stand in the distance. At its center, an artistic interpretation of the city seal’s anchor and rope motif forms the main structure, while a carousel horse celebrates North Tonawanda’s world-famous connection to the Herschell Carrousel Company, whose handcrafted rides are treasured around the globe. Together, these elements symbolize the city’s enduring craftsmanship, innovation, and community pride.
Regarding Flag Production: Designed, printed and sewn in house by our team in Buffalo, NY. Proudly made in the USA, featuring a double stitch all the way around the flag with a pole pocket along the top that is approximately 2.25" wide. Measures approx. 12" x 18". Printed on a durable and weather resistant opaque polyester material. Text is readable on both sides as the flag is double sided - design is the same on both sides. Flag stand/pole sold separately.
